Rodeio began to take shape around 1875 with the arrival of Austrian immigrants, especially Tyroleans from the Trento region, and Italians from regions such as Veneto and Lombardy. Surrounded by valleys and mountains, the town preserves its settlers’ traditions. The Trentino dialect remains part of this cultural heritage.
